Just completed a search of $200 of 20 cent pieces. - New Zealand - 1969, 80, 86, 87, 88 (2), 90
- 3 x Lip Cuds - 2001(2) and 2006
- 1 x 2002 Cheek Cud
- 2 x 1999 a small Cud at the base of the neck. From previous experience, it appears very mobile and is not always in the one spot
- 2004 Strikethrough - the platypus head around the eye
-
1975 obverse planchet error-
2007 Missing finger (Nancy This is the same error you sent to me the other day - thx 4 that ) This one appears to be on a 'thin' 7- 2 x 2006 Nose doubling - I threw a third away because it was too badly damaged
- 2004 Doubling - on Australia, Date and Elizabeth but not the head
-
1 x 2005 Unc - 1 x 2001 Nose Cud
- 1 x COF Victoria aUnc
- 2 x 2001 Small SD - from a total of 55 2001 coins
- 1981 - a possible dot of the 'R' variety. Unfortunately, it is not real obvious and depends on from which angle you look at it. The dot (if it is one) is in the right position and the right size.
Now on to the 10 cent pieces

- Fiji - 1976
- 2001 Doubling Obverse Australia
- No Feather - 1976(2), 82(2), 84, 89, 90, 94, 06
- Zero Cuds (Small) - 2002, 03, 04, 05, 06
- 1980 and 2006 Zero Cuds (Large) - These are the first very large Cuds I have seen on the zero. They're impresive!
  - 2 x 2003 Nose Cuds - They look like small warts on the end of the Queen's nose
- 1 x 2003 (Unc) Cheek Cud just left of the nose.

- 1 x 2000 Tail Feather Cud (small)

Well tonight Mrs J (Jenny actually) came home from work with; - Rams head 50¢ -very nice condition
 - Cook 50¢ tilted 7
- 20¢ Centenary of Federation Queensland and South Australia
- UN anniversary 20¢
- Roll of 1997 5¢
Sometime I wonder why I bother getting bulk coins to check! Incidently the 5¢ roll has "$2 Five Cents $2 Five...." printed on it in blue. Any idea who might have rolled that one? Bank, Mint or security firm Jeff

This week has been quiet indeed for me... Uni started back so I've had to reel back on the noodling and etc (the noodling isn't too bad, its just getting to banks during the day that presents the problems), but still, we have had some success; more so in 50c than 20c
50c: 1977 Silver Jubilee - 2 keepers 1983 - 1 in very good condition 1991 Ram's Head - 1 (I keep all of the Rams Heads I find) 1994 Wide Date - 1 (These are fairly scarce, yes? anyone have info on these?) 2000 Millenium - 2 (1 in good nick, the other has oxidised very dark brown with all the raised areas still bright - Looks cool!) 2001 CoF Tasmania - 1 2001 CoF NT - 1 2001 CoF WA - 1 2002 Outback - 2 Keepers
Enough of interest in there, I guess; especially the wide date...
20c: 2003 Volunteers - 2 2004 Big Head - 2 1966 'No Gap' - 1 in quite superb condition
Honestly, a bit disappointing on the 20c front, happy about the 1966 tho.

Zaggy quote: 994 Wide Date - 1 (These are fairly scarce, yes? anyone have info on these?)
. OK, well for a start, about 20% of the 1994 mint sets contain wide date 50 Cents. In the Greg McDonals Guide 13 ed says that they are very rare in circulation and mostly found in mint sets. In my noodling of circulating change, I have found 8 out of 82 1994 coins checked(could be more checked, but only kept figures for the past 4 years). However, while visiting family down in Wingelo in 2005, the owner of the corner store asked me to check his lot of 1994 50 cent coins for him. He collected all he came across, because he liked the design. Out of 207 Coins checked, we found 48 that were between 6.6mm to 7mm wide. Only 20 were the full 7mm wide, but the rest were much wider than the normal 6mm date. The high number certainly did surprise me as I was under the impression that they were very hard to get from circulation .

Minky, SCORE!! :)
I had a modestly sucessful day today... I had been after 2x CoF Qld 20c to help complete some sets and guess what I stumbled into?
$100/20c: 2001 CoF Qld - 2 2001 CoF WA - 1 2001 Bradman - 1 2003 Volunteers - 1 2004 Big Head - 1 1995 UN - 2
Also 4 high grade platypus and an interesting NZ 20c I had never seen before. 1990 with a different Reverse! Are there any sites out there regarding NZ Decimal Coins?
