Figured I'd spend the change I have in paypal on something...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1905-Libert...p=true&rt=nc

Obverse dig, yes, I understand that. But why not?

My LCS charges $0.25 apiece for V nickels, but hey, I had to...

He'll end up loosing money after gas/shipping/fees.

At least in my part of the woods any common V on average goes for $ 0.75 at minimum plus tax unless one's tax exempt.

That's data coming from local auctions in Ky.
Rest in Peace

CHD, You remind me of myself when I was your age. I used to buy coins like that from magazine ads . I cringe when I see stuff like that, IMHO ,save up and buy some decent coins. you'll thank me when you get older. If I'm still above ground.

I didn't see the point in buying this coin other than to just spend money.

My local pawn shop charges $6 for ones more worn than the one you posted

Anyways, I think that there really is no point in selling items on ebay valued under $2. Just not enough profit (unless you are a big coin store with hundreds of single coins on ebay) IMHO.,

O man you got hosed....nawwwwwwwwwwww. Only kidding. I sold a coin for about $1.25 a couple of weeks ago, and am sure the buyer was smiling.

It isn't the price, but the dig and the appearance of cleaning that bother me.

I'll throw it in my tube of buffalo/v nickels and when it gets full I'll just sell it as a lot of culls.

I bought a couple of rolls of V-Nickels in this condition at a local estate auction for $9 a roll a few years ago. I'd value them from $0.50 to 0.75 cents each but they are a tough to find the right buyer for. ebay doesn't seem to be a very good venue for these types of coins if selling individually.

You did Damm good for sure...I do that myself but I know you've beat me with that one. In my defense I got some nice deals but for a bit more money.

Look at the brighter side. In about 200 years you could sell it on ebay for thousands.

In about 200 years, I'll be dead, ebay probably won't exist, and inflation will be over the roof so $200 will probably be like the equivalence of $0.04 today.

Inflation might even be so bad that you'll have to PAY the government money to take it off your hands....

But $.76? Whatever I guess. Maybe you should buy 40 V nickels at your coin shop and sell it as a roll on ebay. Then tell us how much it sold for.
