Just got my 1st INAD case/return request in over a year on the toned 1906 Barber dime I had posted in the grading section. https://goccf.com/t/241040Sold it at ebay Auction and I had my concerns with the winning bidder. My concern was the 3 Negatives left for sellers in his previous 7 Feed backs. Not just the negatives he left but the nastiness, calling sellers scammers, liars ect. Follow up feedback from the sellers to his negatives sounds like they were scammed of money and product. I already have the defect, I have a 14 day return but he decided to open a case (probably does not want to pay shipping back). I am holding my tongue and am expecting a nice red negative if he ever decides to return the coin (label sent to him, but he has not used it yet) Talked to CS at ebay to get a feel if I have a chance to get the potential Negative removed if he leaves it with the same "language" as he has previously. Seems I have a shot. The defect stays which I won't sweat over, or the return of the coin. Just thought I would vent.....I feel better now Here is the buyers reason, Here's what the buyer said Reason Doesn't match description or photos Comments This coin has been artificially toned, likely by using a hard boiled egg. You can tell by the blotchiness of the blue toning. Natural toning does not form that way. Just because it was in an old album does not mean it always was.

Tell him he's a low life thief that enjoys hurting reputation. That should get you something easy to remove.
Jest sayin'.

Have you tried opening a case in the Resolution Center? Normally that would stop any feedback from either side.

There should have been no surprise based on the images you posted in your auction. The buyer is clearly a bottom feeder.

@ coinfrog, I already accepted the return. He opened a case. If you fight an Item not as described and you escalate it for a decision you are 99% likely to lose, you still have the defect and what would be worse is the seller strike added. ebay item number 271995103420Like I said, returns are part of ebay life I have no problems with that, I would of happily paid shipping back and taken the return had he just showed some courtesy and messaged me first. I will wait and see what happens.

I was bamboozled by a buyer (& ebay), leaving a bad taste for that site for future buying/selling. W/feedback over 300 positives, one buyer petitioned ebay for "item not as described" - they paid her $ back + she kept the item & they deleted my account! Just like that - boy, was I upset over that mess.

RK55, I assume you've already added the guy to your Blocked Bidder list in order to avoid any future unpleasantness.

@ captainrich, he is not added yet to my BBL, my only reason is to wait for the feedback and then add. If he does bid on anything else I will cancel his bids and block.
I don;t want to stir the hornets nest til I see the feedback. once received (good or bad) he goes on the list.
I have noticed that he has added all 3 sellers he left negatives for to his " follow sellers list" hmmm could have a stalker in the making.

Can we get his id to add him to our blocked bidder lists?

I am not sure of the protocol to publish his ebay ID here, and he has to wait 7 days before he can leave feedback since I am TRS/PS., His ID would come up in search if I posted so I'll wait til this is resolved. However, anyone here at CCF can message me and I will gladly give you the Buyers ID.

Yeah that really stinks. I agree, the part about immediately opening a case without first contacting a seller is the frustrating part. Buyer and seller can almost always work it out without ebay getting involved.

You have every reason to want to vent . There are some real lowlifes working the system on the bay. I have one I am dealing with right now as well. Good luck with the problem.
