I got these coins from the bank I work at and I'm just curious if they are from a mint set. At first I thought they were proofs but they are not S mints. With the mirror effect that I showed in the pics next to the 10 dollar bill I'm thinking mint set. Would that be correct?

Most of the presidential coins if they are uncirculated will have a mirror like field. It doesn't mean they came from a mint set. In fact a mint set coin is the same as a coin buisness strike coin. It was just put in the case before it got thrown around to all the banks and put in rolls.

Someone probably bought rolls of them and they are just getting out of the rolls and sent around. I recall some rather shiny Jefferson Pre$ recently in a box. It could be the CRHers have actually made a change for the better and the FRB have had to begin releasing some of those billions that they have stockpiled of the "golden" dollars that nobody was wanting before.

Cool pictures demonstrating the mirror fields. Though in your first picture the Johnson and Polk look anything but mirror-like. In fact they look plated or painted compared to the Adams. Probably just the lighting.

Yeah, it's all the lighting. All 3 coins look exactly the same, same mirror effect.

Right now I am more interested in a remote with a "TOOLS" function so I don't have to go get them myself from the garage than the coins! But I can see the reflections in the 2 new pics as well.

Mint sets from 2005 through 2010 were satin finish coins.

Some of the mint sets seem more satin than others, but
I have not seen any as mirrored as those look ...from
satin mint sets.

Off topic, but I knew that was a Samsung remote before I saw the second photo.
