This 1891 Liberty Seated quarter is graded by NGC.

I like the coin because of the toning, for one, but also because of the die cracks obverse/reverse and what looks like die clash obverse next to the drapery and reverse to the right and north of the eagle.

How do you think NGC graded her?

I'll be the first one. AU-58 can see some traces of wear, but a beautiful coin.

I'll say it's lower Mint State. This year was poorly struck according to Briggs.

If you have it in hand, look in the dentils below and to the right of the 8 and 9 for the tops of an 8 and 9. If you see them, it is a diagnostic of Briggs 7-G.

Here's one on Heritage to compare http://coins.ha.com/itm/seated-quar...tion-071515#

If it's not a 58, then I'd venture a 64. Very nice.
