wonghinghi Pillar of the Community Hong Kong 1270 Posts	Posted 10/07/2015 10:16 am The design of this coin looks very nice but I don't know why it seems to be unpopular to general coin collectors. I know why the Queen didn't use rose as the floral design on the back of the coin as she is the Queen of UK and not merely England. It is not political right to use roses on the coin. Most of the commemorative crown sized coins are available in abundance, it's easier to get one than to get rid of one. No idea what the plant is but I also don't think it bears much relevance like perhaps a thistle would on a Scottish coin for example. Report this Post to the Staff
