It's hard to find a family friendly version, but I can't stop thinking of mallrats while looking at this picture. This is the clean version, but you can if you decided too find the full version.

Thanks for the extra image. But you can see where it was damaged perhaps with a razor blade. I was hoping for a rounded trench like you find on a struck through wire.

That is a metal shard from the cut, not a die chip.
