The Stonewall Jackson Coin Club of Clarksburg WV sells raffle tickets at its bi-annual coin shows, offering both coins and regular cash prizes. I won $100 cash prize a few years ago and then turned around and used the prize to buy a life membership to the club... because that's just the kind of guy I am.

Not bad I have never one! I have not one, but at this years Omaha Coin Club 56th Annual Coin Show someone won 4/8 hourly raffles, I believe. LOL, he also ended up winning a modern 1/20 oz. US gold coin. If I recall, there was a thing in the Numismatic News titled "Always buy lottery tickets in omaha" about him... LUCK!

Never won a coin raffle style but I was with my dad at a coin and gun.auction a couple years ago and they were raffling off a brand new 30-06 or 30-30 with a special dealer only blue cammo stock. Well he bought like 3 tickets for $30 and won the darn thing.

Burton, that's a cool slab and nice coin Ah lottery tickets. Now there's where I have a story. I bought a few $5 black bingo California scratches on April 1st 2013. Long story short, one of them was $5,000 winner! Being April freakin fools day I thought it couldn't be so I went straight to turn it in and like 8 weeks later I had a check. Craziest April fools day I've had, ever! It beat the time when I was 10 and put Tabasco in my dad's coffee machine under the filter the night before by far!

I consider raffle tickets a donation, because I never win. A local volunteer fire company has a gun raffle every year, I think I have personally bought them a new fire truck with the amount of tickets I've bought.

I can't say that I have won, but I did give my wife a $20 bill when she went to her first coin show with me to buy "us" some tickets. She put her name on all of them and won 2 out 3 prizes, an ANACS graded 1957, all graded PF65 except 1 which was a 66, and an 1850 something half eagle

I've won a few silver dollars over the years at the Utah coin shows in Ogden and Salt Lake City. They sell raffle tickets at 1$ each or 11 for 10$. I usually go the 10$ route. Since they are club shows I don't mind "donating".
Promoter shows are a whole different story though!
