Nice comparison of the two. They both look great. Of course as a 7070 owner I am biased to my preference.

Quote:I was gonna die if you had Seated dollars to put in both albums! I wish I did .... I almost bought a 1872 dollar last week .. but it was a Fine grade .. My plan is to upgrade coins to the Dansco, than move coins to the IS. It will be hard to not fill some of those holes before I find upgrade coins. I did find a 1839 O dime while cleaning my desk .. SO I did fill that hole. As of now for the Intercept Shield I am at 77 of 88 coins.

I think the Morgan is a solid PL maybe a DMPL. I wish it was a CC .. it is a 1882 S I have a lot of trouble getting a good picture of some proofs.

Quote: Would like to see a comparison with the Littleton type album too. Stephan Z .. or any other member, If you have a Littleton type album ... or any other different type album, feel free to post some pictures. Might be nice to see all the different options for a type set. I recently started putting a Whitman 20th/21st type set together ... for a Christmas present .. for my grandson. I will try to get some pictures of that.

Many really nice coins there. However, as a person that does not have a so complete type set nor wants one, I've never really seen any use for them. Rather a great tool to use to show kids all the different coins in our past though. I do have an old Whitman 20th Century one and once filled it just went on a shelf never to be seen again. They are great for an educational tool as to the many facets of our monetary system but so few are really complete if you attempt to place all the varieties of coins in one. When it comes to the ones shown, I too rather dislike the Green but only due to it being a Littleton used color.

USSID18 I am happy you like the coins. This is a old thread, some of the coins have been upgraded since this was posted. Better 20 cent and $10.00 Liberty gold. Also one or two of the Barbers have been upgraded. I am sure a couple more but will have to check to be sure.
Long term, I do plan on upgrading a lot of the coins in the 7070.
It is one of the favorite albums when I do show family members my collection.
