I few weeks ago I picked up a Intercept Shield (IS), I have been curious what it would look like with coins in it. I posted when I got it I would try to get some pictures when I went through my coin boxes to try and fill as much as I could. I did get some pictures, sorry the IS albums pictures are a little blurry, I was outside and losing light Dansco 74 coins, plus 10 more if doing the gold page. Intercept Shield 88 coins, I don't have the gold page for it, my guess it's gold page would also be 10 coins. Dansco Page one 18 coins Intercept Shield page one 19 coins Dansco page 2 - 20 coins Intercept Shield Page 2 - 13 coins More to follow

The intercept shield type album gold page has 13 ports. All three types of one dollar gold and also the three dollar princess.
By the way very nice looking sets you have. I have four to go to complete my intersect shield album.

As for appearance, that's up to you. As for protection, Intercept Shield wins.

Budr250 Thanks for the info on the IS gold page, not sure if I will do one for this album but good to know that. Lastly, I have posted this before ... Dansco gold page

Yeah that IS gold page is a killer. Don't know if I will ever fill that page.
Once again GR58 Very nice albums.

My thoughts on the two albums.
I like them both.
Dansco, seems to be a little better quality. The pages are a little more heavy duty and the slide are a little thicker. Also, I think the coins fit a little better.
Intercept Shield, Nothing wrong with how it looks. I like the extra coins they have added. The slip cover does get dinged easier than the Dansco slip cover. Right now the IS album is easier to purchase than the Dansco.
As far as which would preserve the coins better, this is my second 7070, some of these coins have been in a Dansco for over 30 years, with no problem. My guess would be the IS will do as well.

I was gonna die if you had Seated dollars to put in both albums! Nice looking sets for sure. I like the variety of coins in the Intercept but like the look of the Dansco a little better I think. Either makes a nice presentation though. Kanga, why do you say the Intercepts protect better?

I actually think the green looks better with the coins .

These types of albums are OK for storage and display of coins, where the individual value of a particular coin is not justified to be slabbed or encapsulated.
Much harder to build a consistent set with slabbed or encapsulated coins. The slabbed or encapsulated approach does not lend itself to a nice display of a series.

The green of the IS album takes away from the coins, IMO. Some really nice coins here! Would like to see a comparison with the Littleton type album too.
