Not a Cud. Maybe a struck through debris or some kind of plating issue.

If you can see under the plating in that area and it is plated, then it was a struck through foil issue.

If you see zinc, then it might be a split plating issue that happened during the strike. Hard to tell from just an image.

maybe a strike through, good thing it's not valuable, the oils from your fingers are garunteed to destroy it

HAHA I always cringe when I see his pictures cause he always has his fingers on the coin ;). Hey its the rim I'm not going to saydo it or don't only time I where a glove is with proofs or mint state uncirculaed coins. Otherwise I'm not wasting time . Anyway good eye noticing that. If you invastigate with a toothpick let us know if for sure it was plating or struck through foil

Don't you think the term "destroy" is a bit strong in reference to crud covered circulation coins? :-P
