Looks more like split plating from a hard strike on a zincoln

And some die deteriation doubling?

I'll be more specific, Machine Doubling caused by deterioration of die, as opposed to doubled die/hub doubling caused by human error

I will be honest in saying I don't see any MD which comes from the hammer bouncing and/or sliding off the edge of devices a bit . On this coin it is only a plating issue and maybe some deterioration issue.

Did you buy it as a DD? I hope not. But hey, we learn from our mistakes. I would say this is split plating, more evidence near the mint mark. It has risen and will soon collapse in on itself and fall apart.
