Have you ever rolled foreign coins with U.S. ones, and then cashed them in at the bank? I have a few canadian quarters and a mexican peso coin that I rolled up in a $10 roll of quarters. I will probably take it to the bank tomorrow.

Probably Canadian. However, I live close enough to the border that they typically pass in circulation anyway.

I like pulling them from rolls. Never thought about putting them into the rolls.

lol, up here, north of the border, I sometimes get 3 to 4 different countries in the same roll, Canadian, US, british, caribean etc... I started pulling all the US coins to take down and convert back to Canadian at a +30% mark up so this is an excellent way for us Canadian CRHers to make some money...

seriously, in just over 2 months time, I have about $1200 to $1400 of US coinage waiting to be returned.

I think I have put some low grade Canadian cents back into rolls. Other than that, the novelty of keeping the foreign coin usually outweighs the few cents I may lose by keeping it.

My bank here told me they are supposed to pull everything non-US form rolls and they considered the foreign stuff as a loss.

When I was close to the Canada border no one cared b/c the coins circulate normal (below $1.00) anyway. In fact I grew up never associating the word "foreign" with Canada - especially coins. The concept of "foreign" and "Canada" together still just sounds weird to me - "next door neighbor" is more the mindset.
