I guess I shoud've said that I'm well awate of the near certainty of it's being a fake (why the topic title's in quotation marks). But it's good for a change to be able to actually see reasonably clearly what this junk is currently looking like.

As the OP says ... Of course it is fake ... It is a interesting write up "USA Statue of Liberty 1878 Trade dollar" "some far away country maybe need 30-40 days" Sad to think how many people around the world will buy this junk

Once somebody in the U.S. buys it, next time it is on ebay it will be with a U.S. address and therefore not so suspicious. It's a shame.

I am going to be looking at Trade dollars at the next coins show, which is something I have never done before (I have noticed them, just not really every looked at them). I am beginning to wonder what percentage of them will be suspicious.
