I'm just getting back into my coin collection & have found a interest in error's. I purchased the CherryPickers Guide , but seemed to have overlooked that it doesn't include cent's.
Can anyone recommend a book for Lincoln Cent errors (up to date ,is possible) ?

Sorry if this is elsewhere on the forum . I tried searchign but couldn't find anything.

I'm not entirely sure about an error book for cents, but someone will be able to help you. If you are looking for varieties, the "bible" in my opinion if "Looking Through Lincoln Cents" by Charles Daughtery. He is one of our members here, and is known as Coppercoins. He also has he own website, Coppercoins, and is pretty much regarded as THE expert on the series.

Hope this helps, and welcome to the forum.

It sounds like you bought Volume 2- Volume 1 is Half Cents through nickels. Volume 2 was just published not too long ago so that is the most common one to find right now. The Cherrypicker's Guide is for die varieties though and not errors(things like doubled dies and repunched mintmarks are die varieties, not errors).

If you are also looking for a specific error book, I would recommend Official Price Guide to Mint Errors 7th Ed. by Alan Herbert. It is much more than a price guide- it gives detailed descriptions and pictures of hundreds of different errors and catalogs them using the PDS system (planchet, die, strike).

Well , I guess I'm looking for errors/varieties then.
Just things you can find by hunting through change !
It sound's like varieties are the "better" coins to be looking for from a , their more rare & special ?

It is hard to have a book that lists every error as they are individual, each one. Pricing varies from coin to coin/circulated or mint state. Everything varies. Just depends on what you find/the condition it is in/demand for that error.

Besides my Red Book and Guide Book of Lincoln Cents books, I use a bunch of websites to collate error/variety information...theyre usually up-to-date. I havent been able to acquire Volume One of Cherrypickers.

Here are a few of the websites for Lincoln cents.
