There don't seem to be many token collectors here but I just had to show this one and have another stab at photo's with the new camera.
I got it on the weekend at the Oshawa coin show along with some others nice coins, all in all a great day.
I think I read somewhere this is the last halfpenny coin minted in Canada.?

I collect tokens as well... here is a few of mine:

1815 - Spread Eagle

1954 - Half Penny Dragon Slayer

Currently looking for the other eagles and finish my dragon set. Love all tokens tho.

Hey Hounddog, I live in Courtice and I'm disappointed I never heard of the Oshawa show. Where was it?

Thanks, its one of my favorite coins and hard to get in a decent grade. But seems the 1814 and 1813 are even harder to find lol

AgHoarder you should join the Oshawa coin club we are the ones that put on the Oshawa shows, two a year, one in the spring and one in the fall.
They are both held at the Five Points mall at Taunton & Ritson. I'm just down the road from you, small world.

I've thought of joining but I work shift and never seem to be off on the 2nd Sunday of the month. I would love to find time though. It would be nice to talk to other collectors in my area. I buy a lot of my coins from a member who has a shop at the Courtice flea market.
