1974 Nickel Dollar First Day Issue?

tfred Pillar of the Community Canada 627 Posts	Posted 10/22/2015 08:47 am So whats your take on this? My guess is that its a first day issue,but I'm not sure. What sort of finish is on it? Is it a regular business strike. When I take it out of the outer plastic sleeve, it is still contained within a thin plastic film within the envelope. It looks spotless!! Hounddog Bill Pillar of the Community Canada 1222 Posts	Posted 10/22/2015 2:44 pm Not sure if it's of help but the stamp was released on the 11th of June 1974. I don't know the date the coin was released but it has a Winnipeg Manitoba cancelation dated Aug 7th 1974 on the envelope my guess is that's where it was minted.
