Pulled this one from an ancient coin lot:

Obverse: square design with maybe a numeral 1 or an M at the top

 Arabic?-Byzantine?

Reverse: Arabic writing?
 Arabic?-Byzantine?

Any ideas?

At around 15 mm it wouldn't be a Byzantine follis. I honestly can't tell what the design is. I'm not sure if it is even ancient or medieval. What is the weight?

I've enhanced the images a bit, maybe someone will be able to ID it for you.

The reverse is in Arabic for sure,but the coin is upside down.
Petrus is right.Rotate the first pic 180.looks like is Arabic language,"Alah..."(God).
