Found this in a bag of mixed wheats which were all pretty common dates in really bad shape but I found this:

I cannot be sure what I'm looking at from that distance at first I thought PMD but it maybe a large Retained Cud. I don't think it's the latter though do to the shiny metal but like I stated without a better picture I wouldn't be able to tell you.

P.S. hold the coin by the rim at the least

The salts on your hands from perspiration leave the finger prints the coin. You might not see them today, but in a few years they will be seen. Then it is too late as the metal has been affected. So if you see a finger print on the coin...PASS. They can not be removed without ruining the finish. Water on cents will turn them green. So if you was a coin, make sure it is total dry before putting into a flip or 2X2.

As far as holding the coin, sure you guys are right. But sometimes I find some grey area where I don't know if I'm being ridiculous. I found this in a bag of badly damaged wheats I bought, I figured I couldn't do any more harm than had already been done. Sure fingerprints impair the luster, but will one show up on a brown cent that most likely has some layer of dirt on top of it too? Do people who search thousands and thousands of coins by the roll wear gloves, or grab every coin by the edge for the slim chance it's worth something? Anyway, thanks for the advice

Nice Lam. Yes, only hold coins by the edges. Don't clean or wipe them - that leaves microscopic scratches on them. Dirty coins are worth more than cleaned coins. Depending on the caliber of coins (proofs, BU's, etc.), some people wear cotton gloves, masks, use soft desk tops, and so on.
