Hola, just received my first El Cazador shipwreck coin, a 1782 1/2 Real. I collect coins of '82, so a collection of these is highly necessary. So go me! Anyone have some of these? Every once in a while I see a fairly nice 8 Real comes up, but don't hardly ever see coins too much better than this as 1/2, 1, or 2 real. I know the 4 Reals are real tough to find in general. Is there a population report on what's been pulled? I'd love to know if a 4 Reals 1782 even exists off the wreck to look out of. On this coin, the obverse is pretty well worn down, but the reverse is nicer than the pics lets on.

Nice coin, I don't think I have seen a El Cazador 1/2 R
before.

I have not paid attention to what years of these I have seen.
I do see more 8R's that the smaller ones. I may have to
pick up some more of these, when they come along.

I do have this one. But it is a 1783.

Very nice! Some fancy packaging there. Who was the retailer? My purchase was just the slabbed coin, which I am OK with. It fits better into my coin box.
