Thank you, Coinsplus , for sharing the thoughts.

I have other modern RCM Test Tokens which have never been seen before, and I am hesitant to make those known on this forum because of this bitter taste this recent auction leaves me with. I apologize for this rant.

Better, do not post this info.

There is a "but":
When you own something extremely rare, and unknown, there is zero of awareness or demand....

I am not suggesting or advising....but maybe better to sell?
It looks like, these items demand huge premium.

This same auction company sold a 1970 Manitoba gold dollar a couple of years ago, a coin they know is property of the RCM and illegal to possess or sell. Just one example of their lack of integrity. I could go on.

Your post gave insight into these tokens, although the auctioneer sort of skipped the most important fact the mintage, as mentioned most of us who would have driven the price upwards came to same conclusion thanks to your posting as logic took over as mentioned before. Too much knowledge is rarely bad for the hobby, seems like you have unique access to the RCM posting neat items will help all especially new collectors, if you have no love for this item and you have the whole set and folder place it in the next major auction, kind of strike while the iron is hot, on the other hand if your are a collector that's a different story, and thanks for the info and good luck !

Thanks, I will consider placing my test token set for sale in an auction (excluding Geoffrey Bell) in the near future. I will have the set including the original mint folder available.

This set will continue to be challenging to find and still rare, as most samples were distributed to employees of central banks and are in foreign governments' collections.

I love to share knowledge of rare findings, but will limit that to local fellow collectors that I see face-to-face. As a moderator on another forum, I certainly take pride on what I post and share, but do not appreciate or tolerate businesses exploiting without citation, and 'selectively' plagiarizing material information to the detriment of fellow coin and paper money enthusiasts.

The 25c Canada flag token sold in the recent TCNC online sale... for considerably less...

I suspect as more of these come out of the woodwork, the price will drop and stabilize.
