I know of many folks who buy 5-6 boxes of quarters at one time on this site, but that's not something I can do. Have any of you found silver buy just buying a hundred dollars worth of quarters?

I got a silver quarter in $100 worth of quarters once. I would highly suggest buying as many coins as you can because it increases your odds of finding something good.

I have gotten a silver quarter in change before. its possible to find silver in any amount but as mentioned above the odds of finding silver increase as the amount searched increases. if you only have $100 to use try searching dimes. its more than twice as many coins to look through

I would buy as many as you could currently afford. You could always by another one later.

Remember that once you have saved enough money for the goal of 5-6 boxes the first time, you likely will be able to continually pick up that quantity because 99% of the quarters are nothing notable and will go right back to your bank account for the next round. Those of us who buy rare coins have to find another $X each and every time we want something unless we sell out or trade. lol.
