looks like hte dies were improperly alighned and they didn't have enough pressure

The devices appear to me to be too close to the edge to be a broadstrike. Looks like it is heavily worn...even sanded. What is the diameter of this coin?

The diameter is only 17mm.

With a diameter 0.9 mm below spec and no reeding I can see in your photos, I think some kind of damage. I am thinking probably not a Dryer Coin, though - no evidence of edges starting to fold over. Outside of the possibility of it being sanded down intentionally, I can't think of how. Perhaps one of those rock polisher thingys?

To me it looks like it might have been acid dipped. But it is PSD. At one time the coin was normal. Now it is not.

Definitely bad things have been done to this poor coin. My 7 year old likes it so it's his now.
