So I've been look for 100% acetone and can't seem to find any without denatonium benzoate in it. I know this is used as a deterrent to keep kids from drinking acetone (why?! Oh god, why?!) but will it affect a coin any its I give it a bath in acetone that has DB in it? I'm trying to clean (repair, please keep my head where it's at) copper coins if that helps.

Thanks for any info! :)

I've heard elsewhere on the forum that it's best not to use unpure acetone- not sure what DB can do to a coin, though.

Lowes, Home Depot both have pure acetone.

Also your local hardware store should have it.

It's in the paint dept.
