Hi, I'm new to this forum. Looking forward to participating and learning more about this great hobby. I live in NW Wi and have been buying and selling coins and currency for 20 years. Always learning.

I recently bought a few rolls of some BU 1961d pennies and have found a few with a connecting link between the 6 and 1 in the date. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this? My camera isn't able to capture this very well so I'm not including a photo.
The coins are a brilliant red and obviously uncirculated.

Sounds like a die break to me. Can you post some pictures?
By the way, to the forum!

Thanks for the reply and welcome. I'll see if I can capture a good look with my camera and post it.

sounds like a die break between the 6 and 1 of the date a common stress point like the be in liberty where either a blob/ glob shape fills that area in-between on that date

1961-D-Lincoln-Penny-Error

it might even look like a straight line across also.
