1943-D Jefferson War Nickel DDO - Unlisted?

Any comments, suggestions or feedback welcome.

? I believe this is Distorted Hub Doubling if you are not familiar there is a link below to the attribution as the 001 and 002 which are also distorted. ?

Not a triple die like the 1943-D WDDO-001 but Stronger then the 1943-D WDDO-002 as this coin has all the areas of the 001 in Liberty but as a double not triple.

Distorted and Distended Hub Doubling, increasing from left to right. Look at the Y in Liberty and the 1 in the date to see the distortion hub doubling the other arrows are just there for points of interest.

Link below to check attribution against the two examples

Perhaps you're right. I'm not that familiar with the wartime period; don't see it often enough during CRH and the specimens are generally well worn!

Rackster, I am not sure myself... but that y and 1 look the same as other ones with the distorted hub doubling?

Leaving in a few minutes to see a presentation by the author of a new Jefferson nickel die variety and error book by author. I hopefully it covers more then those few 6 or 7 standard varieties like the 1943/2, 1939 rev of 40, 1941 large s, etc
