Recently took the plunge and bought one of those "uncleaned lots" on ebay. Went for the couple of sestertii first, and noticed that one has a very pretty face:

Well, what used to be a pretty face about 1,800 years ago.

I've been looking high and low, but I am just not seeing the combination of hair wave + tall bun close to the head on anything but Didia Clara.

Diameter: 25mm
Weight: 10.02g

Am I going crazy?

This one has a lot of environmental damage. Try Julia Domna just a guess though.

I think that you are going to need a sorcery course at Howard´s with Mr. Harry Potter to be capable of guessing anything about this particular coin but...
Good luck!

Best match I could find... I can accept my coin is a similar dupondius.

Maybe next time I'll think twice before trying to attribute damaged coins at 2:30 AM.

My first thought when I saw that hair was Julia Domna. Much more likely anyway.

But why Roman Imperial? Couldn't it be a Roman Provincial?
