Hi.

That is the other side. 2.5 grams pure gold. Unfortunately I can not determine the size.

Thanks you Albert.

All you need is a ruler to find the size (diameter). How do you know it's gold?

Diameter 25.4 mm

We've tested the metal with a specialistt and he says that it is gold.
Unfortunately he could not provide more information about the coin/medal.
We are trying to find out is it valuable or not.

Thank you.

Well, at least it has some bullion value. I'm really not sure what is, though.

These are similar with regard to the iconography. I don't know if yours is an imitation or just a similar type...

With the weight at 2.5 grammes, the diameter at 25.4 mm, and the fact that is a bit bent in various directions, suggesting that it is thin, leads me to the opinion that it may not be gold, but gold plated brass or bronze.

Both the obverse and the reverse have dark marks on them, ( obverse 12 o'clock, reverse 2 o'clock), suggesting that the core is of base metal. With a low weight and relatively large diameter, it should weigh more than 2.5 grammes, unless it is very thin at thin at this diameter.

How was the metal tested?
Acid or XRF testing can confirm gold in the surface of an object only. I cannot see any evidence of scratch testing except perhaps in the dark mark areas I have indicated.

It is not a coin; it has no suggestion of an issuing authority or of a denomination. It may be a religious medalette, but it is not modern.
