I was wondering if there was a chance of this coin crossing over to PCGS or NGC. Before I tell you the grade, what grade do you guys think?

So this is why you don't use ICG?

Scanned images can be brutal on coins sometimes. Can you supply some photos?

It's freaky that the word GOD and the LIBERTY show up way more illuminated than the rest of the obverse. I am not sure this coin has not been tampered with.

ICG is usually not THAT bad. I would question the integrity of the holder.

In regards to the work "God" being bolder than the rest of the letters, this is from Wikipedia: The 1926 Peace dollar, from all mints, has on the obverse the word "God", slightly boldened. The Peace dollar's lettering tended to strike indistinctly, and Burdette suggests that the new chief engraver, John R. Sinnock (who succeeded Morgan after his 1925 death), may have begun work in the middle of the motto "In God We Trust", and for reasons unknown, only the one word was boldened. no mint records discuss the matter, which was not discovered until 1999

As noted photos are needed to determine if this coin will cross. NGC will not cross any coin in a ICG or ANACS holder. PCGS will cross coins in a ICG & ANACS holder and less than 50% of the coins submitted in ICG holders pass at the same grade. The trouble with the scan image, it can show no luster and often highlights the marks.
