My father gave me 4 silver quarters he had and I believe that this may be my first silver variety find. Thanks!

Pictures are way too close to the devices to tell what you are seeing

I am seeing notching and trying to show evidence of that notching in those devices with some nice close ups. I must say, that is a new one, never been told my pictures are to close. I will back them up a bit.

The T and the 3 are nice pictures. I can't really tell what the other pictures are though. I do see the minor hub doubling. I will see if there is a listing on variety vista.

I see some knot ching but like ssk said, pics ate too close. Things get tooooo exaggerated at this magnification. Try zooming out a bit to show at least 2-3 letters / numbers in a single shot. It's all about perspective

When you look too closely at something, nothing starts to look like something. Even a coin hit will show like it was hit by a train. Note on the third image (LIB) you can see where the coin took a hit and rolled the rim over the "B". With the amount of wear on your coin, how much for sure can you say of those marks were there from the strike? If you see hub doubling, then other devices should also be affected in the same way/direction. When you use anything over 10X to search for hub doubling, then that is over kill. Most collectors will not purchase a coin with doubling so minor that it can't be seen with the 10X ocular/loupe. If the doubling is on a coin and you are familiar with that series, it should jump out at you.

Even with circulation wear on a coin, you should be able to see it is a doubled die:

WDDO-003 is the one I found in these forums, that match up, especially the "R" Do you see doubling in liberty with the new pictures? I removed all others.

The image below is one is from "TOPIC_ID=21198" in our forums, not my example and it was slabbed as 003.

The R does look almost tripped and I think I see notching on the T as well. Not seeing much on LIB though

It is a doubled die. Note the consistency of the doubling:

Not just on one letter.

Looks like triple-R to me: 1 to the left, 1 to the right, and the major letter in the center. The T looks suspicious as well.

There is also a die crack between the 4 of the date, and the right rim. You were saving that, right?

Thank you! Pictured are two of the four die markers for the LDS version of the DDO-003, the reason the other two die markers are not visible is because the areas where they would be, have been worn away, those areas are high traffic areas and these areas would not be worn so easily.
