Hey guys

I came across a couple buffalo nicks on ebay eariler today and thought I'd take a chance on them for the right price .. So I won two a 1930p and a 1935p they are slabbed , looks to be a homemade type that a dealer or previous owner had make for them ...
Each coin has a grade printed on the label, not sure how accurate these grades are so I'd like everyone's opinion on these...
The seller states that these nickels were grade as so when he received them but said they do appear BU ...
So give me some grades guys !!

Sorry about the photo quality guys these are the sellers photos ..

They both look AU to me.

Check the reverse of the 1935 closely. It almost looks like it may be a doubled die (Pick up point is the "v" in five cents). Pictures aren't sharp enough for me to tell for sure. If it is the DDR, that is a home run coin in high grade!

Well I may have got burnt as I was thinking au58 to low MS ... I've noticed that more often than not the details such as the hair on the buffalos head rarely shows up good In photos , bad photos at that ....
I may be wrong though , guess I will have to wait till I get them in hand ...
Since the seller accepts returns and he's listing them as BU I could return them if it comes to that ...
Yes it would be a super great score if the 35 was a DDR :
The basement slab grade on these are MS65 for the 1935 and MS63 on the 1930 , now I'm sure that's probably generous but I'm still think these are low MS with bad photos !! Or I hope anyway :)

What it comes down to is - will you be able to tell the difference?

Tell the difference in what ? The DDR?
To answer that ,, probably with a little help from here and online !
If your asking if I can tell the difference in an AU55 vs MS62 ?
In hand I can grade with the best of them , I may be a new member here and I don't have ten thousand post but that doesn't mean I havnt been collecting and grading coins for years ...
I don't post photos and ask questions because I'm clueless , I do so because I like to hear others opinions and views ..
I'm always open to hearing what people have to say and possibly learn a bit in the process but to assume I wouldn't know the diffetence between this or that in my opinion is not only rude but disrespectful ..
Now if you didn't mean it that way I appolijze but that is how I took it !!

They could be weaker strikes but Buffs can be hard to grade from photographs, like incuse Indian gold. I wouldn't grade unless in hand for sure, if I was putting out cash money.
