Another coin I came across. Looks like a possible inverted MM, with an OMM or RPM, and misplaced MM located very close to the ribbon. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Check out MMS-006 on this page:

Yours looks quite similar - perhaps flattened a bit from circulation. Just not sure that it is inverted!

The ball serif ones are a little bit tricky. But note on the link the split in the top loop is at the top. So the mint mark is in the correct direction. Note the 1946 images of mint marks:

The one on the right is the ball serif mint mark. Note the split toward the top in the top loop. On a rotated mint mark you would see the split on the lower serif:

See the difference now? Yours is in the correct rotation. I did see the RPM (?) to the north listed in two of the publications I have. But it maybe listed somewhere else.

Pete - Thanks for the link. That was helpful.

Coop - Thanks for the info. Do you have a link to the publications you referred to regarding the North RPM?

I just check Variety Vista, but don't have any RPMs for that year:

That area on your coin is raised right? If so you might have a shot. You might get an image a bit more tighter in and send it to CONECA to see if they are interested?
