I have been watching my change for 2015 dimes, as I have seen many struck with very worn out dies. Then I find this one!
3 olive leaves in front of nose, part of torch showing from top of ear down to neck crease, oak leaf behind ear, and more.

Outline of Roosevelt's face through olive branch, and nice big die chip bottom right torch! Best pics I can get for now.

Thanks coop, the other one I found shows same die clash and big die chip on reverse, plus an olive on nose and 2 small die chips, 1 of them above eye and the other in hair above ear.

I have a 2015 P dime with oak leaf around the nose, behind the ear and United States of America under Liberty. I took it to a dealer and he told me it looked like a greased filled die. He was also quick to tell me he was only interested in the 1955 and 1972 doubled die Lincoln's. He offered to give me 25 cents for my dime. I told him I was not interested in selling it unless it was a 1970 US quarter stamped over the 1941 Canadian coin.
It was my first experience with a local dealer and surely my last with this guy. He was really a jerk and I didn't get any answers to my questions.

Is die clash the terminology for overlay? Are they different? Is it an error?
Is it worth more than 25 cents lol?

A die clash happens when the dies strike together without a planchet between them.

An overlay will show the position of the dies during a strike. The outside edge the devices will show as transferred to the opposite die.

Die clashes are common. While they are interesting, they are not real valuable unless they are real extreme on the coin. Real extreme will show even the smaller devices on the coin.

Most of the time you just see the outlines of the larger devices. But clashes as strong as the nickel one I posted would be worth a hefty premium. Others like yours is common.
