Not for positive because this came from a FED roll but this is the first '64 I've come across so worn. I'm calling it "Slot 64". May just have been someones pocket piece but I find alot of unreeded halves from the slots and this is the first silver one. HH Mark

I thought the casino machines rejected the silver (both 90 and 40%) silver? Are the machines different in different regions of the country- some accepting silver and some not? Here in my neck of the woods (Shreveport), most casinos don't accept ANY coins at all. One casino does and I got $200 in halves from them and no silver was found. There was a thread on this forum maybe two months ago. If I can find it, I'll stick the link here.

OK, found the thread, but didn't realize there weren't many replies.

I don't know about that, I know a guy in Vegas who hunts the older casinos that still use coin- pickins are slim but periodically he finds some. Also know a lady in Louisiana that was getting some FED boxes that had alot of worn slot halves and she got 40%ers out of that. I have got some rolls from a casino up in the mountains, all were clad though. Anyways its mine and I named it what I wanted LOL. HH Mark

I must be a twisted coin/bullion collector cause I am fascinated with this coin. I have over 160 '64 Kennedy's- all in much better shape, even the ones that been through fires and now I like this one best and from a bullion perspective I know its light. HH everyone, Mark
BTW don't ya just hate these bank Holidays, all this money and no place to spend it, all these halves to dump and no place open to dump them.
