Almost identical 1962 Franklin for sale on ebay, no Blakesley Effect though. What are the odds for a clip to be almost exactly the same

I see a very slight blakesley effect on the ebay coin. You should pick that "little sister" up

Nice coin you have & perfect for your avatar. The ebay listing is a little over priced IMHO.

I think my avatar is unique, too. That's why I have trademarked it.

Now I don't wish to be too pedantic, but my grouchy old high school English teacher would tell you that something cannot be "pretty" unique. It is either unique, or it isn't. There's no in-between. It's like saying your wife is "kind of" pregnant.

Be that as it may, my best to you!

My avatar is definitely unique. Five bucks to anyone who can tell me exactly where it came from!

but what of this other turmabzeichen? Where did it originate? Some believe, incorrectly, that this was the emblem of one of the other Skippers of U-124 but that is not correct. REINHARD HARDEGEN (102-1985) told us the story.

He said that on one Feindfahrt (war patrol) their only duty was to remain in one area and report the weather. As Captain HARDEGEN put it, they were a big Weather Frog, and so that is the reason for this turmabzeichen

tweak - You are correct, sir. This the CT emblem of the German U-boat U-124 during WWII.

Well done. Send me your address via PM and I will send a check immediately.
