I found this Wheat penny today and I know absolutely nothing about coins. I had no luck with google. Please overlook my stupidity but I was curious if the raised mark on the left side is considered an error or what? Also does this make the coin worth anything or is it just face value. Thank you.

Looks like.post mint damage . I don't know how but you can see the metal that was in the hole is now on the outside making the raised bumb. How it got like that I wouldn't know but it doesn't look like it happened at the min. This looks like something damaged it during its over 60 year life. Coin is still worth face vale. Depending on year and mint mark it may have a Re punched mintmark or something else but as it seems now it damaged

Thank you so much. I appreciate the information. Like I said I know nothing about coins and their values or conditions. That answered exactly what I was hoping to find out.
