Stopped by the SDB today to add some more coins to it. I have more coins to this set than I realize. I'm not one of the few hundred hardcore FS collectors/accumulators that started back at ground level in Apr. 2007, only started buying these in 2014 as au pricing started to ease somewhat on the backdated issues.

What do you all think?

Thanks, childofthewheat. Every collector should have at least one gold coin, IMO. There's just that aura of gold that silver just doesn't have. The coins represent a conversion of several dozen rolls of BU ASEs that I accumulated in mid-90's. Not only were they taking up my SDB and my home safe, they were really heavy. We'll see how it goes with the rest of the set. 18 of 38 issued so far.

I started the spouse collection in 2007 with the goal of purchasing each one. Then the gold price skyrocketed and I lost my employment for a year. I could only dream of a set now. I'm happy for your additions to your collection.

Cascade: Jackie is about the best looking FS out there next to the two Frances Cleveland coins. She was the first young First Lady in 75 years since Cleveland. The FS set is nicely unified with a mixture of front-, profile- and 3/4 facing portrait heads and goes well with the corresponding commander-in-chief. It just too bad that 99.99% of the public will never get to see them unless some collector deigns to donate their set to the ANA or the Smithsonian.

muddler: Sorry about your travails in the post-housing bust in '08 and after. I would've started buying them then but the Mint sold out of the initial four before I found out they were on sale (before they had a good online ordering platform.) Back then everybody was focused on the Presidential dollars and the missing edge lettering. It would've been pretty hard for me to keep up with the series if I bought them all at initial issue price. The 2011s were particularly high that year.

I was able to keep the Jefferson Liberty, so I would like to build a short set of the no wife coins.

I can't tell who all you have, especially in the left side but I just looked at a few of these FS coins and I must say that Julia Tyler and Sarah Polk must have been some lookers back in the early 19th century.

CSOTUS: The top row is of 2009W Letitia Tyler, 2009W Julia Tyler, and 2010W Buchanan's Liberty.
Second row is a complete 2011W FS set of Eliza Johnson, Julia Grant, Lucy Hayes and Lucretia Garfield.
Third row is 2012W complete also: Alice Paul, Frances Cleveland 1st term, Caroline Harrison and Frances Cleveland 2nd term.
Fourth row is 2013W Ida McKinley, 2013W Edith Roosevelt, 2013W Helen Taft.
Bottom row is 2014W Florence Harding, 2014W Grace Coolidge, 2014W Lou Hoover and 2015W Jacqueline Kennedy.

Working on completing the 2009 and 2010 subsets. Just bought a 2010W Jane Pierce to that end.
@muddler: The Liberty subset is a good idea, and all four are relatively easy to find than some of the later spouses and have been selling at a small premium to spot, so now is an ideal time to chase after them.

Edit--Here's an updated clearer picture of the set (with the Pierce coin added):
