As these have been up for days now, and I said I'd stop posting them, I feel like it's necessary after I've consistently reported them while ebay continues to do nothing. I feel like I'd bring them to your attention.

Two-Altered-1944-D's.

If someone could grab pics of the 2nd auction and post the pics asap, that'd be great. I saved them but the file is too large, and I hate shrinking pictures as I'm not too good at it...

We are all just spinning our wheels reporting this stuff to ebay. It just goes into a black hole and doesn't get looked at and disappears when the auction ends.

Until it costs them significant money they won't do anything about the counterfeit coin problem. Fact of life.

What do you consider significant? Between the work of Bobby and other CCF members, thousands upon thousands of dollars of counterfeits have been removed. And when Bobby reports an item, it does get taken down.

"Significant" is a term that ebay has to define. If the counterfeit coin problem begins to effect their sales, reputation and bottom then they will do something about it. Until that happens, it's "business as usual, darn the torpedoes and full speed ahead"!

Of course, Bobby is "special" and can get stuff taken down and that is a big plus. On the other hand, it is NOT Bobby's job, nor his responsibility, to do ebay's job for them (for free, too!). Besides, if Bobby was to croak (God forbid!), who'd get counterfeits removed? One man battles like this usually don't have good outcomes.

It's waste of time with this fake stuff......better off letting people learn the hard way if they are buying w/o doing their homework. From what I see it is mainly people buying unsearched rolls, etc, who are not true collectors. Anyone who buys a key from someone they do not know w/o inspecting in person is simply making an irresponsible purchase and should not be pitied if they get burned.
