mdh157 Pillar of the Community United States 952 Posts	Posted 11/07/2015 12:53 pm A while back I posted abt my 8 y/o son finding a '45 merc under a local Coinstar machine. Well, my foot is on my mouth after telling him he'd never find anything like that again. today we were over there and he did his obligatory hands and knees search and pulled a few coins from the outer edges of underneath it. Once of them is a 49-S rosie. It is blatantly obvious the machines are kicking the silver out and sometimes they roll under the machine. Keep your eyes open for this if you aren't already doing so! Still hoping he will pull out a SLQ, even if it's dateless. Yes, I'm a pipe dreamer. Report this Post to the Staff

I've found Wheats, Steel cents, 2 War Nickels, a 1912-D Barber dime, 4 Mercs, 12 or so Rosies, 6 silver Washingtons and dozens of foreign, including 3 Canadian silver dimes, a silver Canada Quarter, a silver Netherlands 25 Cent, a silver UK Shilling. Of course, this is over a 3 year period. One thing that also works is when someone has just finished, I will approach and ask if they had any foreign and offer to buy it at the US equivalent for the size coin it is. About 75% of the time they just give them to me. It is a rare occasion that anyone is nasty or unfriendly. Report this Post to the Staff
