I've reported "coingift" at least a dozen times, also sent email about him to both Disney and Marvel reporting copyright infringement, all for bupkis.

I've reported the aforementioned sellers replica items on ebay.ca several times as well. No action even though their policy clearly states: "We don't allow replicas, counterfeit items, or unauthorized copies to be listed on ebay. Unauthorized copies may include things that are bootlegged, illegally duplicated, or pirated. These kinds of things may infringe on someone's copyright or trademark." http://pages.ebay.ca/help/policies/...terfeit.html

Search "replica" over 1000 hits http://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_odkw..._sacat=11116Surely ebay could do a one word search on their site instead of forcing their customers to be their watchdog. And it's not really a problem that replicas are sold as such, but one can bet some unscrupulous purchasers try to pass them off as originals.

In the US, they are allowed to sell clearly marked copy coins but PCGS and the other TPGS are trying to change the Hobby's act I believe.

pls forgive my ignorance is there such an item as a legitimate replica (?) issued by any mint (?) or should all replicas be considered illegal
Replicas are legitimate only if the reproducer is granted rights to do so by the original maker. In the case of legally minted coins, even if past designs are reused by the mint, the coin still bears the current year it was minted, so that's not considered a replica (or copy).
