I won this 1908 Indian Head cent, but haven't yet received it.

Since both sides are a bit off, is this coin one that is struck very slightly off-center, or is it a case of misaligned dies?

Or, is it something else?

I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Looks like a former Encased Cent, now free of its encasement.

I agree, the encasement is what caused the rims to look the way they do.

Thanks for the replies and information. I didn't think it was an off-center strike, but wasn't sure what it was.
