I have always contended that it was either a mint error or if PMD, someone heated something up and began to melt away at the reverse to perhaps mount a clip of some sort and turn it into a pin or a cuff link. Either way, the coin has never seen circulation and its an oddity. I don't believe I paid more than $60 for it years ago. Report this Post to the Staff
