I like the square tubes because they don't roll around. Though I like the round tubes because you can see the coins.

Square tubes because they fit into coin (bank) boxes a lot easier, and like you said they don't roll around if they fall.

It has been a while since I have bought any tubes at all, but I have only ever bought round ones. However, I am thinking of getting some square ones to better organize things. The price difference is rather insignificant.

I only use clear round tubes. they are of hard plastic ( no pvc's ). the square tubes are a little on the soft side, IMHO not good. I don't have a problem with the round ones rolling around as I bought sturdy roll boxes from Wizard coin supply . Each box holds 50 tubes standing up with no problem.
also square tube caps don't have threads ,they just slip on to top of tubes. the round tube caps screw onto tubes for a tight fit.
