Quote: nickelsguy... "I tried to show you with my 25 in 65..." This might be your 25 Mikey ...and I will return it to you at Coin Expo or the Ottawa RCNA convention.. "Thanks for letting me borrow it ..." ..... I want all of my George V nickels to look like this obverse...with a full round 2nd set of beads..or...realistically should this be more like "the impossible dream". Lighting can negatively affect how a coin looks..but each pic here offers different benefits .. ..and a bit of die polishing in here.. ,

What did ICCS grade the 1925? Hard to believe it wouldn't be SP - the detail in the garland, collar, crown, no hint of weak strike in the interior of the maple leaves.

That is an amazing strike compared to everything else I have been looking at.

Out of curiosity, is this the kind of coin you would send to someone like PCGS to "conserve"?

As with all of my ICCS graded coins "from the distant grading past"..the #'s don't often hold weight anymore..or have any real relevance here..(to me anyway). We're talking about George V nickel strikes and the many grading problems around this issue.. ...so I try very hard to refrain... ..These are just expensive clear holders to me now..and sometimes possibly damaging holders..(the horror)
