Would like to know everyone's thoughts on this 1800/79 Draped Bust Large Cent. What do you think the grade is on this one and value as well. I don't own this yet but am considering it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks... Edited by srs77 11/22/2015 4:17 pm

F details. Corroded. Cuts on obverse. Tough to price. Maybe $100

This is a Sheldon 192, 'Horns' on 8 variety, with Long Slanting Bar on denominator. Die state II. Rarity-3. I have a hard time evaluating the surfaces. They do not seem to be corroded or grainy, but do appear finely rough, specially the reverse. One really needs to have in hand to evaluate properly. But, as mentioned, they do not appear corroded or unduly grainy from the pictures. As such the grade would be VG10, net G5 to VG8. CQR values it at $150-350, but is possibly outdated. I think a price between $130-160 is appropriate.
