Now you've just got to add the No Motto Liberty Head gold.

Naaah, I think I'd rather stay married, if it's all the same to you...

This is beautiful, and makes me wonder how easy it would be for others to do something similar? Personally I would love to have a template of sorts where you can put in high quality photos of your coins in a virtual album. Then you wouldn't need to crack all of the slabs either!
Have you though about releasing a template of sorts, for sale perhaps?

Well, I don't know about selling anything, but if anybody wants the graphic I created to put my coins on, they can download it (for free) from here. If anybody wants to see the code I used to create my album, just view the source of one of the pages.

Congratulations! As a coin album designer myself, I find it really challenging to design something that's aesthetically pleasing. I quite like this layout, however if this is to be a realistic album - the coins would be in coin alignment as well as being on the next page. But again, this makes a lot of sense to show the obverse and reverse side by side.
I have so far designed a few digital coin albums and understand that it takes a significant amount of time. There is one favorite one that I have designed and this will be the template for a long time to come. For some odd reason I cannot post it on this site despite all of them being my work due to some copyright issues with the web host content. Look for "digital Japan type set album (1870 - Present)" on google. Should be the first or second link. Otherwise please feel free to send me an email.
On the other hand... I am slowly working on a digital version of 7070 as well.

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, I definitely was leaning toward to best possible visual presentation rather than trying to come up with something that would work as a real album, but that's the wonder of having a digital medium to work with! Basically, the point was to show off my collection, and the faux album is just a way to present the coins.

All right, ever since I digitally expanded my online album to include holes for the Liberty Seated coinage with Arrows and Motto (as per GR58's suggestion a couple of pages back), I've been obsessing about having an empty hole in my album. Yeah, I know it's just a digital album and the "hole" is just something I added in Photoshop, but still... I added the quarter to my "wish" list of stuff I plan to look for at next year's coin show, but I couldn't resist checking out ebay as well. Well, I managed to have some good timing and found a just-listed 1873 quarter with a (relatively) cheap Buy It Now price. It looks to be about a VF20 and has probably been cleaned, but for $40 I figured it was good enough to fill my digital hole until I can find a better example down the road. I only have the seller's pics to work with right now, but thanks to the wonders of Photoshop my album is once again complete: [Click on the image above to go to the entire page in the album.] Thanks again to everybody for the helpful feedback, suggestions and general nice things said!

barryg- that is a very well organized website. I love how it navigates. It's like I'm looking right at your 7070. I wouldn't change a thing. I'm now starting to seriously consider doing this with my Ike Dansco sets.
