It's ANACS slabbed but I'm worried it'll be downgraded if I re-slab NGC. Any comments & opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick replies. Yes, MS65... And I believe it's an older ANACS... hope the grading holds under today's scrutiny. Also hope it's not hurt by that tiny red spot on the eagle's neck.

Definitely looks 65, those yellow ANACS holders are fairly consistent.. Just wondering, why cross it to NGC?

CO Collector when you post and are going to reveal a grade give some time for folks to chime in. 24hrs would be good. Just a suggestion. Btw I had it at 65 also. Real nice

It's a preference... Then why did I buy it? It was a garage-sale coin I couldn't resist.

If you want to crossover, you will need to send to PCGS. NGC will not crossover anything from ANACS. If you want it in a NGC holder, you will need to crack out.

I was going to say MS details wiped. Hairlines in front of the head and on the cheek.

The coin looks like a solid MS65, and I would expect it to grade MS65 by NGC.

It's a nice 65, just leave it in the ANACS holder.

I wouldn't risk the crossover, It is a beautiful coin but my eye was immediately drawn to that red spot on the reverse... I would leave it as it is... You can probably sell it for a profit if it was a garage-sale coin. If you really prefer NGC coins, I would try that and try to buy an NGC coin.

Or maybe I can work a swap... there's a local coin show this weekend.
