They are basically the same. The same error, similar placement, similar dates and conditions. I will spend one, and seek a premium on the other. Why? I believe the "Push-Pin" die crack generates interest. It takes time and effort to find varieties and errors. It is fun, but if I can also pick up a nominal premium without misrepresenting the coin, I think that would be fair. What do you think?

Do you think it would be ethical to sell one on ebay?

As long as you describe it as what it is (a die crack), I don't see a problem.

They are two die cracks.

Tip of the day:
On ebay when searching for a coin you wish to obtain, note if they are stating a fact about a coin or are they using a lot more words to get you interested in their coin. Something should be obvious to a buyer with few words. If you don't know what you are looking at...Pass it on to the next buyer. There is nothing worse than to buy a coin and find out it is not what you thought it was. (most of the time you find out too late to do anything about it.

There is nothing unethical about selling ANY coin as long as it is described CORRECTLY. Some will say different. There are a lot of collectors out there, and some collect oddities. I would keep these, but wouldn't pay a premium for them. That doesn't matter though. Some die crack collector will. I sold a 2015 Lincoln with a crack from the E in WE, into the head. Labeled it correctly, sold for $0.99. I added that to the $0.42 I had in paypal, then turned around and cherrypicked a 1936 class 6 DDR for $1.05. Win, win!
