I have quite a few thousand wheat cents that I'm starting to go through. To start I'm just dividimg into each decade. But, as I'm going through, are there any key dates I should be looking out for?
Thanks! If this is the wrong section, sorry! Wasn't sure where to post it.

ill name as many as I can remember off the top of my head...
1909 s
1909 s vdb
1909 vdb
1912 d (i think)
1914 d
1924 d
1931 s

most of the s and d mint ones from the teens are worth decent money if they're in good condition. id look up a list of mintages and keep all coins with less than 15 million or so minted, thats what I do. hope I could help!

to the CCF. Those about cover the main keys and sub-keys. Quality always plays a big part, too, so if you have pre-40s coins that are in particularly good condition, set those aside too. Are you starting a collection of Wheat Cents, wanting to sell, or what? Also, DO NOT clean any coins; it ruins value.
Rest in Peace

To CCF You should look out for any mint marked Wheat cent 1909 to 1918 . Also 1922
''NO D ''. 1924-D, 1926-S ,and 1931-s. and like ''Biedercoins'' points out any high grade wheat from the 40's down.
Now error coins is another phase of going through all of them. DD/O, DD/R, RPM .BIE'S ( DIE CHIPS ) Cuds ,ETC..

The "big four" are 09-S, 09-S VDB, 14-D, and 31-S. The next tier in my opinion is 22-D, 24-D, 26-S. Then, anything with an S mint mark 10-16 and 20-27 and then the D mints 11-16 and 20-27 or so. The P mints are the least valuable and for some reason 17-19 D and S are fairly common also. 31-D is also somewhat less of a common date as well.

Should be a fun project!
