Roman bronze of Probus (262-282 AD). (Wildwinds site was down when I checked)

My first impression is that this is a cast fake aged to make it look old but really not. The overall appearance just doesn't look right to me. Just my opinion I could be wrong I often am.

It does look a little too circular, doesn't it? Would like to see the edge of this one, for evidence of a casting sprue or striking cracks not properly defined.

. Thanks for taking the time and letting me know all three are copies... When I first viewed them I gave it about a 90% chance that they looked real, and knowing how China is flooding the market with fakes of almost everything collectable, I now know should I come across any Ancient Error, I will post here first to check if genuine... I hope my brother didn't pay much for these, but I may be able to make some jewelry out of them... Thanks again, Brokem-Coin

Thanks Bob L for the pictures. Settled beyond all reasonable doubt.

Once again, pay attention to the weak rounded details. Look at the reverse. Nothing on the type looks like it was ever clearly there. Compare to the examples Bob L showed which, although fake, at least have details. The original "coin" in this thread never did nave details--signs of a poor cast.
